Looking Back (Our summer)

Fall is officially here and although for the most part the air isn’t as sticky and we have had a few cooler days, it still feels a lot like summer. I took A and R to the dollar tree to pick out some fall decorations for them to put up. They really have enjoyed the magnets and the window clings.

For the first time that I can really remember, I’m actually kinda sad to say “good bye” to Summer. Not too sad, mind you, fall is my favorite season, but a little bit. We spent the summer at the splash pad, farmers market, pool, and just hanging in the yard.

We bought a house and moved in. I’m loving it as we went from a tiny 600 or so sq ft home that we were renting to owning a 1,400+sq ft house! I’m still getting used to how far away everything seems and how big the house feels. I’ll have to post pictures sometime but right now we’re still decorating and all. We definitely don’t have enough furniture for this house!

We went to the Bookmarks NC festival and that was a lot of fun. We found a book that I’m really wanting to get the boys for Christmas and I enjoyed walking downtown and discovering new places. I really like Bookmarks, their staff was friendly and incredibly helpful. I need to go back when it isn’t so busy and I can browse to my heart’s content.

There were bonfires, our housewarming and tea parties.

But now it’s time to say “goodbye” to these lovely things and say “hello” to pies, fall colors, sweaters and pumpkin patches. I’m so excited!

What are your favorite seasonal activities? What did you get up to this summer?
